Have you ever got an idea in your head that you just CANNOT let go of?
Well, I have a purse running around in my head, she has been running around for quite a while now… So, I am finally trying to get her corralled!!
It all starts here…
I found this SUPER tutorial from SIS BOOM, by Jennifer Paganelli. Aren’t these just ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS?
Now, keeping these little LOVELIES in mind, I am trying to create a cute little clutch… I have a “shabby chic” look in mind.
So, I am a thinkin’… cream duck cloth, jute webbing and a zipper! Yes, a ZIPPER, I am sure there will be a future post on me attempting a recessed zipper!! I need to find a cream zipper, but all I had for the picture was black.
I went through my fat quarter stash to get some “shabby chic” looking fabric…
You will need your iron, a pencil (or my handy dandy chopstick), some card stock and some invisible thread. All of the supplies and instructions are listed in the tutorial. The only thing I did different was use Fabric-Tac instead of hot glue. Hot things and Michele DO NOT mix well and since I have to use the iron I thought I’d lessen the injury ratio and use Fabric-Tac!!
The Frayed Rosette Tutorial is VERY easy to follow and has TONS of pictures!! I did learn, no HUGE surprise, that I have fumble fingers. I think I am FINALLY getting the hang of it though…
I do need to make a trip to the fabric store for some felt to back these lil’ lovelies with and I am thinking maybe some pin backs so that they are removable!
So… what do you think so far??
Today I hope to get the actual clutch pattern on paper and cut out!!
I hope that you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Let me know what you think of my rosettes, honestly, and stay tuned for the EXCITING updates!!
